Muscat Day 3 – Snorkeling was amazing!
Last 3rd day was about watching dolphins and snorkeling. Oman is known for its beautiful nature and it’s meant also a sea nature – dolphins, many kinds of fish, sea turtles, corals etc. So we spend our last day in a paradise by a boat trip with a snorkeling part.
Dolphins
At first the boat took us 40 mins far from Muscat in order to see dolphins in the nature. I had only seen dolphins in dolphinarium, this was assumed to be different. That dolphins was much smaller than these in dolphinarium. We were also too far from them to see them properly, but it was very nice experience. They were jumping under the water and were always gathered in a group. I love dolphins!
Snorkeling
Then we floated straight along the coast and saw beautiful beaches and very small islands. After 30 mins sailing along the coast the boat stopped near a few small isles. We just grabbed a water mask and jumped into the water. It’s good to take a piece of bread to attract whole schools of fish. The view was amazing, water clear, so we saw to the bottom of the sea. I have seen a sea turtle for the first time in my live, that was just amazing! The world under the water is so different, calm and I love to observe it.
Lunch
The boat trip took a few hours then we ate a lunch in old Muttrah again but in a different restaurant with a beautiful view on a sea, fish market and old town.
Finally after returning our car at the airport we were pleased by the view from the plane. This is my last memory from lovely Muscat.
These 3 days were amazing. We met a lot of nice people, Omani nationals are so kind and willing, I have never met sweeter people. The nature is pure and from the mountains there is such a nice view!!! Hope this wasn’t the last time I was in this country.
Loads of love, A.
I love to travel and make new memories around the world. Together with Lukas, we run Ithara – experience gift voucher platform in Dubai.
