On our way from Slovenia to Croatia, we visited Italy as well. Trieste 200,000 inhabitants city in the small stripe of Italy between Adriatic sea, Slovenia and Croatia. It is a strategic port and thus has a rich history. It was one of the oldest parts of Habsburg monarchy and played an important role in both World Wars. 

When coming from the Slovenian border, you will pass through a beautiful viewpoint where you can see the whole city and port. 

Let’s be honest, we mainly came to Trieste to enjoy Italian food, coffee, gelato and atmosphere. And yes, you will all find it here. On top of that, there are some famous tourist sights like:
