Lake Bled – Slovenia (with drone)
We took a quick trip to see the famous Lake Bled in Slovenia. It is in the marvellous village called – not so surprisingly – Bled!
We arrived via the main road from Nort-East which will take you through the whole village. You can expect some traffic starting already from E61 highway – especially during summer where many people stay in surrounding camps.
We decided to walk to Ojstrica viewpoint. 10-15 mins hike (you can choose longer track) leads to stunning view from the reef above the lake. If you’re fancy and the weather allows it, you can go to Velka (=big) or Mala (=small) Osojnica which will be less crowded and bit higher than Ojstrica.
We drove through the city, followed the way to Camping Bled (from the South side of the lake) and turned left to the stone road which led uphill. There is a lodge on the left side after which we parked our car. That’s like 200m from the sign above.
Then you just follow the sign which will take you to the viewpoint. It is fairly steep, especially during or after the rain, it might not be a good idea to go in slippers.
After that, we just walked down and went around the lake to enjoy the different views. The lake was pretty busy with paddleboards and small boats but it was absolutely marvellous. The whole Lake Blad looks like a fairytale scene and I’d definitely go there if you are around.
Lake Bled and Ojstrica in one picture. You can see Ojstrica can get pretty busy and it’s a small rock only.
I love the airport buzz, planes and most of all – the feeling when you discover or experience something new. Together with Anna, we launched our gift voucher platform Ithara.ae. Photos are usually taken with Canon EOS 4000D, my Huawei Honor phone and DJI Mavic Pro.
